About Matcha
Matcha is a Japanese green tea ground into fine powder, traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Unlike other teas, with matcha you consume the whole leaf, concentrating antioxidants and caffeine. Its flavour is intense, vegetal and slightly bitter. At A Pharmácia da Avó, while our focus is Portuguese tradition, we recognise matcha as a bridge between tea cultures of the world.
