About Infusion
Infusion is the most common method of preparing teas and tisanes: it consists of pouring hot water over leaves, flowers or roots and letting it steep for a few minutes. Temperature and steeping time vary according to plant type — green tea requires 75°C water for 2-3 minutes, while a root tisane may need boiling water for 5-7 minutes.
