About Caldo Verde
Caldo verde is considered Portugal's national soup. Originating from Minho in the north, it is made with potato, finely shredded kale, virgin olive oil and chorizo slices. Simple in composition but rich in flavour and meaning, it is a must at popular festivals, weddings and Christmas tables.
